Bob Vanderselt brings more than 25 years of business solution experience to his position at Business Transition Specialists LLC (BTS). Bob is an experienced CEO with a proven track record in growing profitable Consumer and Industrial businesses in the Chemical, Plastics and Paper Industries. His background is finance and marketing and he has extensive experience in product/business development, acquisitions/divestitures, start ups and turnarounds in consumer products, distribution, retail, foodservice, and manufacturing. Prior to joining BTS Bob was both a buy-side and sell-side client which affords him a unique perspective on the needs of our customers. Bob has sold and purchased over 25 companies valued at over $500 Million in his career as CEO, Division President and Intermediary.

Bob earned his master's degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.

  • Extensive experience in buying, growing, financing and selling small to medium sized companies
  • Founded successful packaging consulting and contract manufacturing company, Packaging Resources; focused on Big Box (Sam’s, Costco, etc) and Foodservice
  • Transformed Anchor Packaging from a small $60 million vending & PVC film company into a $125 million profitable global leader in food packaging with three times the profitability
  • Developed best practices in category management for United States (FMI) and Europe (CIES) with clients including, Ahold (Albert Hjein), Safeway, Giant Food, Stop & Shop and others
  • Developed a $300 million tissue, femhy and diaper store brand (private label) business for Pope & Talbot by developing competitive advantage in quality, product development and supply chain management
  • Negotiated acquisitions in U.S. and joint ventures in Europe and Asia to develop a leadership position internationally for Scott. Within three years, Bob built these businesses (paper, plastic and foam cups, cutlery, tablecovers, etc.) into an integrated $500 million business with 2500 employees worldwide
  • As Managing Director of Southeast Asia, Bob grew Scott’s business through joint ventures with local companies and multiple plant startups in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. This business quickly became Scott’s most profitable international business
