Principal
One of the most difficult professional roles in business, the Principals at BTS must demonstrate a wide range of experience, skill and character traits. They maintain our client relationships, manage the transaction process and work on teams fulfilling strategic services. The best candidates have a history of success in business, possess strong people skills, an ability to negotiate and want to apply themselves to make a significant impact for our clients, their businesses and the community. Backgrounds that provide good transferrable skills include mergers & acquisitions, relationship-based strategic sales & marketing, lending & financing, prior business ownership with solid general management, accountants and attorneys familiar with legal and tax aspect of business transitions. You must be able to complete our rigorous academic and practical training program and then step up to develop and manage a portfolio of client relationships.
Trusted Advisor
The role played by BTS requires us to draw upon a wide range of related services provided by capable advisors across: accounting, legal, coaching, lending, financial planning, insurance, estate planning and other professional services. These professionals will also use Business Transition Specialists as a resource to help better guide their clients. If not joining us as a Principal, become part of our extended team; get to know us through one of our workshops that are educational and provide enhanced networking opportunities.
Intern
Graduate-level interns may get introduced to the highly complex world of mergers and acquisitions, business brokering and strategic consulting. More applicable areas of study include business and business administration, finance, marketing and communications. The best candidates also demonstrate a high level of self-sufficiency and motivation with a positive learning attitude.
