Chief Executive Officer Mike Saxton brings more than twenty years of leadership experience and business expertise to his role at Business Transition Specialists LLC (BTS). Mike is a creative strategist, problem solver and dynamic leader with a proven track record.

Biography

The themes in Mike's career are problem solving and building, developing people and organizations, in order to improve the lives of people and businesses for which he works. To accelerate his positive impact Mike co-founded and built multiple firms with 25 professionals in three Midwest locations. Mike is the Chief Executive Officer and managing partner in Business Transition Specialists LLC (BTS) (www.BuyGrowSell.com), the only full-lifecycle merger and acquisition firm in the region helping buy, grow and sell businesses. He was also a founding partner of IntelliThink LLC, an award winning strategic consulting firm that helps leaders assess, define and execute business strategy. His teams have guided organizational design, development and turnaround efforts across commercial industries, government, education and non-profit organizations including: Cerner, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sprint, Missouri Department of Transportation, Sporting KC (aka the Wizards), KCKC Chief of Police, Clark County School District, Harrah's Entertainment, Embarq, Walsworth, USC LLC, and more.

Mike earned his MBA from Duke University and his Bachelor of Science in industrial & systems engineering (ISE) from the University of Southern California (Magna Cum Laude). In an earlier life, Mike was nuclear engineer and officer on ships where he was decorated with both the Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals.

Mike is a private pilot, accomplished actor and musician, graduate of the FBI's Citizen's Academy, has run the Marine Corp Marathon (seven weeks after a six-month deployment) and has interesting stories of apprehending thieves overseas (even testifying in a Roman court of law).
