Overview
Scott brings more than fifteen years of entrepreneurship, team development, financial management and business operations experience to his role at Business Transition Specialists LLC (BTS). He has successfully owned and operated four businesses in his career and has a diverse background in leadership, business development, information technology (IT), human resources and accounting. An accomplished general manager and transition specialist, Scott can educate and guide buyers and sellers through all aspects of planning and executing the entry into and exit from a business.
Biography
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS where he focused his studies on aerodynamics, propulsion and laser technology. While attending college, Scott began his career as an entrepreneur and built a graphic design company from scratch. Upon graduation, he continued investing in start-up companies including a retail store, a home automation company and a business services company. After successfully selling his businesses, he built a human capital consulting practice at RSM McGladrey where he focused on career placement of chief officers and their direct reports. Scott and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Shawnee, KS and are raising two daughters. He enjoys outdoor sports including golf and mountain biking, and he volunteers his time as a youth soccer coach.
